When Syracuse upset then-No. 25 Rutgers this weekend, many thought that it would have major recruiting ramifications for both programs.
It has quickly turned out to pay dividends for the Orange, as they have landed three-star defensive end recruit Max Beaulieu from University School of Nova Sout in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The 6'3", 240 lb defensive lineman committed after visiting the school with teammate and fellow Orange commit, Brice Hawkes. Beaulieu said that he is excited for "a chance to play in a great conference for a coaching staff that is committed to getting back to the top in the conference."
In an interview with the Miami Herald, Charles Fishbein of Elite Scouting Services (who ranked Beaulieu in their Top 100) said that "this is not just one of those ordinary talents who schools from the Northeast come in and get."
Beaulieu also holds offers from schools including Purdue, Wake Forest, Arkansas, South Carolina, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
