After scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win against the Vancouver Canucks last night, Bryan Bickell seems to be the odd man out.

He was reassigned to the Rockford IceHogs today despite being a +3 in his four games with the Hawks this year, while spending time on a line with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane.

Shipping Bickell back to Rockford opens up a spot on the roster for the Hawks top free agent acquisition of the summer, Marian Hossa.

Hossa has missed the first 22 games of season, just over 1/4 of the year, due to his shoulder surgery from an injury while playing with Detroit last year.

If everything goes according to plan, Hossa should be able to make his Blackhawk debut on Wednesday against San Jose who is currently the top team in the Western Conference, and the league.
