Rivalry Week 2009: Top 25 Style

Get your Thanksgiving leftovers ready for a weekend of college football rivalries and enjoy it.

With the fun all starting on Thanksgiving night and ending on Saturday college football fans have three days to sit down and relax.

Hopefully there will be some upsets for all of us to talk about next week.

#3 Texas vs. Texas A&M

Thursday 11/26 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN

Texas (10-0) heads to College Station to take on Texas A&M (6-5) on Thanksgiving night so get your desert ready, if you can handle it, for a good old fashion rivalry.

Prediction: Texas

#2 Alabama vs. Auburn

Friday 11/27 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS

Alabama (11-0) heads to Auburn (7-4) for the Iron Bowl for the Sportsmanship Trophy.

Prediction: 'Bama

#9 Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia

Friday 11/27 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN 2

Pittsburgh (9-1) heads to Morgantown to take on West Virginia (7-3) for a good old fashion Backyard Brawl.

Prediction: Pittsburgh in a close one.

Florida State vs. #1 Florida

Saturday 11/28 at 3:30 p.m Eastern on CBS

Florida State (6-5) heads to the Swamp to take on Florida (10-0) in the Sunshine Showdown for the Governors Trophy.

Prediction: Gators chomp the 'Noles.

#12 Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma

Saturday 11/28 at 12:30 p.m

Oklahoma State (9-2) heads to Oklahoma (6-5) to face off in the Bedlam game.

Prediction: Oklahoma State finds a way to win

Georgia vs. #7 Georgia Tech

Saturday 11/28 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC

Georgia (6-5) heads to Georgia Tech (10-1) for a game of some good Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.

Prediction: Georgia's upset bid falls short.

#14 Virginia Tech vs. Virginia

Saturday 11/28 at 3:30 p.m Eastern on ESPN/ESPN360.com

Virginia Tech (8-3) heads to Virginia (3-8) to play for the Commonwealth Cup.

Prediction: Va. Tech

#18 Clemson vs. South Carolina

Clemson (8-3) heads to South Carolina (6-5) for the Battle of the Palmetto State.

Prediction: This a tough one. South Carlonia goes for the upset.

#21 Utah vs. #19 BYU

Utah (9-2) heads to BYU (9-2) for the Holy War with both teams going for second in the MWC.

Prediction: BYU in a close one

UCLA vs. #20 USC

Saturday 11/28 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern

UCLA (6-5) heads to the Coliseum to face USC (7-3) for the victory Bell.

Prediction: USC gets back on track.

Rice vs. #23 Houston

Saturday 11/28 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern

Rice (2-9) heads to Houston (9-2) for the Bayou Bucket.

Prediction: Houston 'raids' Rice

#24 North Carolina vs. North Carolina State

UNC (8-3) heads to N.C. State (4-7) for one of the many in state rivalries that North Carolina has.

Prediction: UNC

#25 Mississippi vs. Mississippi State

Saturday 11/28 at 12:21 p.m. Eastern time Gameplan/ESPN360.com

Ole Miss (8-3) heads to Mississippi State (4-7) for the Egg Bowl.

Prediction: Mississippi State gets the best of the Rebels.

Grambling State vs. Southern University

I know this isn't a top 25 game or even two FBS schools but its one of the better rivalries out there. Plus they have one sweet half time show

Grambling State (6-5) face Southern University (6-3) in the Bayou Classic at the Super Dome.

Prediction: Southern University
