NFL, New York Giants

It does not take long these days for a championship team to start having problems. It seems that the locker room is taking a huge hit in morale already and a preseason game has not even been played yet.

First, the Giants have lost Michael Strahan, their long time leader of the solid defense, on which they have relied on throughout the years. The whole post season was filled with trade rumors surrounding Jeremy Shockey and there are reports of his displeasure towards the organization.

Now it seems like players may be at each others throats.

The New York Post reports that Sean O'Hara has made his feelings known about the newly developing Plaxico Burress contract controversy. His strongest statements suggest Burress is against what the Giants stood for during their championship wonders.

Players never seem to learn that keeping their feelings to themselves is the best thing they can do.

However, do not look into this too far. The Giants overcame the loss of Tiki Barber, as well as his negative statements about Eli and Coughlin to find themselves on top of 31 other teams holding the Lombardi Trophy.

Have they set the stage for another run?
