The Houston Rockets definitely know how to put on a show.

Despite being down by 10 with just over two minutes to play and battling back to deadlock the game at 103 with just over five seconds remaining, the Rockets lost a heart breaker to the league-leading Atlanta Hawks in a 105-103 setback.

In addition, Houston has begun this season with a brutal schedule and still holds a quite respectable record at 7-6.

On Saturday the Rockets get a chance at redemption when they battle the Sacramento Kings at Toyota Center.

As former Houston coach Rudy T used to say, “Never underestimate the heart of a champion.”

The Rockets know that statement to be true all too well, and especially this season.

Houston’s loss to Atlanta on Friday night brought back memories to college hoops games between Duke and Maryland where the Blue Devils battled back to force overtime and win.

Unfortunately, the Rockets lost this one; but you can’t say Houston’s team doesn’t play with 100-percent heart. The “never say die” Rockets image fits this team to a T.

Look for Houston to quickly bounce back as they host Sacramento.

The Rockets have the hearts and souls of champions, and they won’t give up until the final buzzer sounds.
