2008 will be the year that the Tar Heels are finally crowned college baseball's best team. The reason why they will win is because of experience. They have been to Omaha before and they know what its like to be in that championship game. They also are coming off a huge win over a experienced Coastal Carolina team in which they won 14-4. They will be well rested after sweeping CC and ready to beat LSU in game 1.

A Miami vs. UNC Championship series should be one for the ages with the Heels winning the 3rd game. Dustin Ackley is one of the country's best hitters and the pitching staff has an ERA 2.83. The Tar Heels also have a fielding percentage of .972. They have overall great team chemistry and are better than Miami. With 7 players drafted and probably the best underclassmen class in the nation the Tar Heels will finally win the College World Series in their third try. As the old saying goes the third time is the charm.
