Manhattan's Rico Pickett Suspended, Jaspers Facing Big Trouble

It was announced on Friday that the new member of the Manhattan College Japsers, Rico Pickett, was suspended for "violating a team rule."

Pickett, who spent his freshman year at Alabama and his sophomore year at Miami Dade Junior College, came to Manhattan College and was expected to be the savior for the struggling mid-major squad.

Through his first two games, Pickett was helping the team from the starting lineup averaging 10.5 points and 4 rebounds.

The Daily News reported that Pickett will definitely sit out Saturday's game against William & Mary. His status for Manhattan's game against Florida Atlantic, American, and Fordham is unknown.

Although Pickett has not been as dominant as some people hoped, he has still been a key addition to the Jaspers in the early stages of the season.

Without Pickett, there is a whole in the Manhattan lineup. For the fans, they will have to pray that this gets resolved as soon as possible.
