For Uconn a Season Changing Win Stands Right In Front Of Them in ND
With their bowl hopes hanging by a thread the Uconn Football team has a chance to turn their season around and finally get a marquee win. Tommorrow they will play Notre Dame in South Bend, talent wise Uconn should get blown out tommorrow and Clausen should throw all over them. But, nobody expects this Uconn team to get blown out; a season of close losses will have to add up to some kind of season changing win and i think it comes against Notre Dame. Win this game, and Uconn will come back to East Hartford to play Syracuse and South Florida for their final two games and 7-5 really doesn't look out of the question. With a whole week to prepare for this powerful Notre Dame offense i have a strong feeling this defense will come out very motivated and will do a solid job of slowing down the Notre Dame passing attack. The offense has been clicking on all cylinders over the past couple games and facing a Notre Dame defense that has struggled all season, Zach Frazier will face his former team and you know he will really want to stick it to the Irish. This game has just as big implications for Notre Dame they need this game to possibly save their coaches job and get to a decent bowl they certainly will not overlook this Uconn team. Each team offensively have matchups that are good for their offense, but it will come down to whoever's defense steps up. If Uconn losses this game it will hard to get to a bowl i think they get in at 6-6 but still South Florida will be tough with BJ Daniels a running quarterback which is the style of quarterback Uconn has struggled with. But, if Uconn hopes to get that season changing win tommorrow at South Bend they will need their defense to finally step up and play a complete game.
