I’ve said for the longest time that I would not consider Tiger Woods the greatest of all time until he surpassed Jack Nicklaus' record 18 majors...until now...
If Woods were to win this week at less then 100 percent on a bad knee on a tough golf course albeit one he knows well, I am ready to put Woods in the conversation of "greatest of all time."
After round one, Tiger is only four back sitting at plus one and expect the leaders to come back at least a stroke or two after Friday’s second round.
Torrey Pines is a long test and a hilly test too, and for Woods to win here, would certainly be a feather in Tiger’s cap.
Greatest of all time? It’s up to Tiger now.
