Where did it all go to hell? I can remember being at the game just hoping the team would bench Collins to get Russell in. And here we are now with a number one pick in the NFL draft getting benched for a journeyman QB. The future does not look bright in oakland anymore. For the past couple of seasons fans had beeb going to the games because of hope. Well hope has gone down the toilet along with Russell's QB rating. We will know with the draft and free agency on how much faith the organization still has if any with Russell. I know one thing for sure the Raiders will not draft a QB with thier first pick no matter who is there. Al thought he had waited long enough since drafting Todd Marijuanavich to try and draft another QB in the first round only to get the shaft again. Some will call for Tebow others will call for thier own favorite college QB but whoever ends up here can do no worse then what Russell has done as his time at starter. The worst thing of all is that the Raiders needing a QB in the worst way will have no big name free agents to throw money at. Here's to hoping the team cant get another diamond in the rough somewhere like they did Gannon. I would love to see a trade to get a guy like Tyler Thigpen from the dolphins. Hes a guy that played good on a horrible team.
