Norv Turner: How Long Until He Destroys The Chargers

Keith QuarantoCorrespondent IJune 12, 2008

Norv Turner has a record of 69-87-1 during the regular season. He has a 72-89-1 record including the playoffs. He could not bring success to the Redskins like Joe Gibbs did. Norv Turner took over the Redskins and went 3-13 in his first season as a head coach. He left the Redskins with a 49-459-1 record only getting to the playoffs once. He then had some short stints as an assistant. Finally he became a head coach again. The Raiders gave him his second chance. He left Oakland with a 9-23 record. After Oakland he went across the bay to coach san fran's offense and helped frank gore and company. He is now the coach of the chargers where he took a 14-2 team and turned it into a struggling 11-5 team who finally sparked at the end of the year. The chargers are probably the most overrated team suffering with departures of Michael Turner and Lorenzo Neal. It shouldn't be long until he is out of the head coaching business.
