Bills Fire Jauron, Promote Perry Fewell

Bryan Brackney by Analyst Written on November 17, 2009
Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson announced that he has fired Bills head coach Dick Jauron. Jauron finished his tenure in Buffalo with a 24-33 record. Jauron had two years left on his contract.

The Bills named defensive coordinator Perry Fewell their interim head coach. Fewell was the Bills defensive coordinator. It is unknown as to who will be the Bills defensive coordinator if Fewell gives up his duties.

"I have tremendous respect for Dick and thank him for all of his efforts during these past four years." Wilson Said. "While this was a very difficult decision, I felt that it is one that needed to be made at this time for the best interest of our team. We will now focus on moving forward and preparing for our game this week in Jacksonville."
