Keith Is No "Cheap-Skate"

Patrick GalvinContributor INovember 18, 2009

Duncan Keith is a rock at the blueline for this Chicago team. Making a mere percentage of what teammate defenseman Brian Campbell makes, Duncan Keith continues to come out everyday and play his heart Out.

I would vote Duncan Keith the most important player to his team. Keith makes a living on the blueline playing an average of 26 minutes a night, logging the most minutes for the Hawks.

I read an article about Duncan Keith saying how when he was only a teenager his dad would watch him run around the backyard with truck tires tied around his waist as he trekked through the mud up in Winnipeg. Keith said that he would do everything he possibly could in his power to make it to the NHL. Well, the Michigan State Spartan has made it to the NHL and without question is one of the most premiere blue-liners in the league and it is time that he gets the recognition he deserves. Rockwell Wirtz, don't act like your "cheap-skate" father and pay Duncan Keith.
