Jeffery Jordan has missed the first game and will miss tonight's game against the Northern Illinois Huskies due to a rule violation.
Jordan will almost take Chester Frazier's spot on the team this year.
Jordan's defensive skills are what will give him a chance at a starting job. But how big of a difference will he make when he comes back after tonight's game?
Jordan is not a terrific player, but is a great player to have on a team.
Brandon Paul scored 22 points in his first career game, an Illini record. So I don't really think Jordan will get a starting spot if Paul plays the same way tonight.
Jordan is one of my favorite players on the Illini, and I think he has a great future ahead of him. He originally quit the team to focus on his academic career. He decided he was going to play in a 3-on-3 tournament with the Illini. Due to the fact that he was not on the team at the time, the NCAA suspended him. An almost harmless rule.
So when Jordan comes back, I want to know how big of a change the team will have to make, and how big of a difference will he make. I also want to know if it will be good or bad. Please comment on what you think.
