The Iowa Hawkeyes need some teams to lose to help them get in the BCS, but they mostly need to win to have any chance to make it. The Hawkeyes won their first nine games of the season, but lost their last two games to the Northwestern Wildcats and the Ohio State Buckeyes. They do have a bowl game because they have over six wins, but they are still fighting for a BCS bowl game.

James Vandenberg will finish the regular season as the starting quarterback for the Hawkeyes as Ricky Stanzi continues with his high ankle sprain recovery. James Vandenberg improved a lot from the Northwestern game to the Ohio State game, and that's a great sign for the Hawkeyes.

The Minnesota Gophers are probably looking for some sweet revenge after Iowa beat them 55-0 last year at their last game in the Metrodome. Minnesota barley escaped South Dakota State with a 16-13 win, but that doesn't affect how they will play against Iowa because Iowa has struggled against bad teams this year. This should be a good game and we'll see who ends up with Floyd.

I suggest to Hawkeyes fans around the nation to just focus on the Hawkeyes game and see what bowl they get into. The computers will decide the bowl game, but the Hawkeyes just need to win.
