The Jets are going to a Referral Program to sell tickets. It is obvious that tickets are not moving like they had hoped. Having a losing season, the economy and the crazy cost of new tickets in addition to PSLs is not helping. The Jets already reduced the cost of some seats in the stadium, and now this method to motivate the fans to give them leads by offering them some incentives. This is the email sent to fans on November 17, 2009:
Dear xxx, I have some great news! It won't be long now before the new stadium is sold out and you will cruise by those "Got Tickets?" signs on the way to your own seats. But don't leave your friends and colleagues out in the cold. There are still some great seats available and I'll work to put you and your favorite Jets fans close together. I've got a few ways to say thank you for helping spread the word. If you send me a referral, in writing, and that referral leads to a new purchase of a Club Seat or PSL, you may claim one of the following rewards*:
There's no limit on the number of referrals, so keep referring and keep earning! Just send me an email with their contact information and I'll give them the same exceptional customer service you have come to expect from me. Thanks for your help and please call if you have any questions.
- Parking for the entire 2010 inaugural season (one pass per referral)
- A Mark Sanchez autographed football commemorating the new stadium
- A $250 food & beverage or merchandise credit toward everything from pulled pork to the 2010 sideline cap
- 2 pregame passes to stand on the field of your new stadium
