The 2009 tennis season was a season tennis fans will never forget. This tennis season brought memories that will go down in tennis history, such as Serena Williams' problem at the US Open with the line judge among others.

This tennis season also brought us some new champions, some comebacks, some retirements, and some books that should have never been written.

Andre Agassi was one of the most beloved tennis stars of the 90's and 2000's.

Yet, when Agassi decided to write his new autobiography, Open, he let information out that he probably should not have, and he may have lost some of his fans as a result.

In Agassi's book, he mentions that his signature long locks were not his real hair, but actually a wig. He also admits to using crystal meth during the low point of his tennis career.

When this news came out, people all over the media and tennis worlds said that Agassi should give back all his trophies that he won.

In arguably the most shocking part of the 2009 tennis season, In a match between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters, Williams cursed and threatened a line judge after a call she did not believe was right.

After the match, Serena apologized to the line judge.

In what was the best match of this years' tennis season, and maybe the best tennis match ever, Roger Federer defeated Andy Roddick in an astonishing five-set match.

Former record-holder Pete Sampras was there to congratulate him. Before that match, it was arguable that he and Sampras were the best ever. Now, Federer stands alone as the best male tennis player ever.

The ATP lost two of its most entertaining players this season.

Fabrice Santoro, nicknamed "The Magician", has been playing in Grand Slams since 1989. Santoro has formeley been ranked 17th in singles and sixth in doubles.

Safin, a former No. 1 ranked player in the world and two-time Grand Slam champ, is retiring after playing since 1998 in Grand Slams.

Safin could have been one of the best players in men's tennis history if he was not such a hot-head on the court.

It will be interesting to see if Safin is inducted in to the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
