The Oswego State Lakers are back in action tonight as the number 2 team in D-III, according to the USCHO polls, takes on the ECAC-West contenders Utica Pioneers. It is the first time that Utica and Oswego has gotten together since the 2006-2007 season. Oswego took the first game in that series in Oswego by the score of 4-3 and the Pioneers got the last laugh as they defeated Oswego 5-2 in January of 07 at the Memorial Auditorium in downtown Utica. Just a note to point out that the last time they played eachother during the regular season, Oswego went on to win the National Championship.

The Lakers last night came out with a 5-1 victory of SUNYAC foe Cortland while the Pioneers took down Western New England College by the score of 12-1. Oswego comes into tonights contest with a record of 6-1 overall and a perfect 6-0 in SUNYAC play. Utica comes in with a record of 2-0-1.
