Western Carolina beats Eastern Kentucky 24-7

RICHMOND, Ky.(AP) — Zack Jaynes threw three touchdown passes and
Western Carolina beat Eastern Kentucky 24-7 in a non-conference
game on Saturday.

Jaynes went 24-for-24 passing for 232 yards, including touchdown
passes of 43 and 7 yards to Marquel Pittman, and a 13-yarder to
Chris Everett. Pittman caught nine passes for 109 yards.

The Catamounts (2-8), who broke a three-game losing streak,
overcame a 7-0 deficit and scored the final 24 points of the
game.

C.J. Walker got the Colonels (5-5) off to a 7-0 lead in the
first quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run. Walker led the
Colonels with 46 yards rushing on 12 carries.

The Colonels amassed 18 first downs compared to 15 for the
Catamounts, but had one interception and three lost fumbles.

The Colonels have lost two games in a row and three of their
past four.
