VALPARAISO, Ind.(AP) — Carl Smith and CJ Oates ran for a combined
two touchdowns and 165 yards Saturday to lead Campbell to a 17-3
win over Valparaiso.

The Camels (3-7, 2-5 Pioneer League) scored on their first
drive, going 82 yards in seven plays with Oates’ 4-yard
touchdown dash to cap it off.

Kicker Adam Willets hit a 20-yard field goal later in the
quarter to go up 10-0.

Smith got his TD at the end of an eight-play, 80-yard drive in
the second quarter and Campbell closed the half with a 17-0
lead.

The Camels dominated the Crusaders (1-9, 0-7) in both passing
and rushing, posting 450 total yards to Valparaiso’s 160.

Valpo’s only score came in the final quarter with Andrzej
Skiba’s 20-yard field goal.

Campbell’s win was its first on the road this season.
