TRG Motorsports Kevin Butler has announced that his team, has signed Bobby Labonte to drive the No. 71 in 2010.
But they also have signed TaySlayer.com to be his primary sponsor for at least half of the coming season, and they may add more races.
They also according to Butler do have several other companies to pick up races as sponsor for Labonte.
Labonte is excited with his decision to stay with TRG, likes what he see's when he has raced in the No. 71 and is looking forward to building on what they have started this season.
He spent most of the year with Hall of Fame Racing before getting shuffled out so rookie Erik Darnell could get some seat-time in 2009.
Labonte would land the TRG No. 71 ride for the seven races, he wasn't in the No. 96 and he's already looks more racy back in a Chevrolet.
I like the move by Labonte, back to a Chevrolet with TRG and being paired with veteran crew chief Slugger Labbe means the two will be making magic in 2010.
While I figured he'd end up at EGR or RCR, just glad he didn't stay with HOF and Ford.
