NASCAR Fantasy Picks For Michigan

Toby ChristieSenior Analyst IJune 11, 2008

Alright it is time for the second installment of my weekly NASCAR Fantasy Picks.  Last week if not for Kyle Busch finishing 43rd I was right on, even with his 43rd place my picks averaged a 15th place finish... not too bad, but this week I look for better results as the Sprint Cup moves to Michigan. Here are my picks for this week:

Race Winner: Jimmie Johnson (Call this a gut feeling, but I believe team Hendrick will start turning it around this weekend).

2nd Place: Carl Edwards (Great at Michigan, he may even be doing a back flip Sunday if my gut is wrong).

3rd Place: Kasey Kahne (On this current hot streak of his I'd be a fool not to put him on my list).

4th Place: Matt Kenseth (Currently making a huge rally for the chase is up to 15th in points after being mired behind 20th a few weeks ago, oh and he loves Michigan).

5th Place: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Testing all week will pay off in victory lane soon just not this week, but another solid Top5 for Jr. should move him closer to the point lead).

Money Saver: Brian Vickers (Finished 2nd last week, and finished 10th at California earlier this year which is a track similar to Michigan, watch out for number 83 this week).
