Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times is reporting that Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker has asked to be released by the team. Walker is unhappy being buried at the bottom of the depth chart.

According to Corkran, Walker has not ruled out a return to the Raiders in 2010, but the question will likely be, will the Raiders want Walker in 2010. Walker claims that "He still has it going on" in practice.

Walker has not caught a pass yet in the 2009 season, and he only caught 15 passes in 2008. Walker played in eight games in 2008, and he has now only played in three games in 2009. Walker seems bound for free agency.
