What Will The Leafs Look Like at The Start Of The 08-09 Campaign?

As a member of the Leafs Nation, I have become accustomed to the frequent failures of big splash off-season signings. Whether it be Pavel Kubina, Jason Blake or even the ludicrous contract given to Bryan McCabe, it has been too long since the Leafs have made a decent signing in the off-season. To start, do not be too surprised if Mats Sundin is wearing a rival teams jersey next year, whether it be Montreal, who has shown a lot of interest in him, or Detroit, who would be a great fit for Mats to be with a large group of his fellow countrymen. Another player who will probably not be around by the time September rolls around is Jason Blake. Infamous for his shots that always seem to end up smack dab in the middle of the goalie's uniform crest, The Leafs would love to rid themselves of his rather big contract, and get some young prospects or picks in return. The problem as of now is that the Leafs have not yet realized the true value of their draft picks, and as a result of this the members of the Leaf Nation have been deprived of seeing their favorite team in the playoffs for the last 3 seasons. Don't be surprised when you see a Toronto Maple Leafs team next year that looks eerily similar to the Marlies of 07-08.
