Crunch time for Noles

Daniel BrommerCorrespondent IJune 11, 2008

The question entering the 2008 season for the Florida State Seminoles is who will be lining up under center? Drew Weatherford is the popular pick, but I have my doubts. Christian Ponder stepped up huge during spring ball, and Jimbo Fisher said the starter still hasn't been decided. FSU also landed highly touted recruit E.J. Manuel, who repeatedly says he does not plan on red-shirting this season. Whoever does get the starting job for the Noles, it's crunch time no matter what. After solid classes after classes of recruits, the Noles have not won 10 games since 2003.  With yet another solid recruiting class, will this finally be the year that Florida State emerges as a top team, or will it be another  disappointing season?
