John Terry's tears should dry any moment now as “managerless” Chelsea has finally named their manager.
It is official! Luiz Felipe Scolari will be Chelsea's new manager starting July 1, a club statement said. Scolari will take the position that has not been properly filled, since Jose Mourinho departed from Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho's successor, Avram Grant, was axed after failing to bring silverware, despite moving Chelsea from sixth into second place in the English Premier League. The Brazilian coach will now try to protect his prize assets whom are being linked with many clubs, mainly Mourinho's Inter.
Ricardo Carvalho declared that he might be tempted to move to the San Siro to be coached by Mourinho, a man who coached Carvalho in Porto and Chelsea, where Carvalho most enjoyed success in his career.
Scolari will want Carvalho and Paulo Ferreira to remain as they have both played for Scolari's Portugal. Scolari will have to try to protect Didier Drogba from AC Milan and Michael Essien from interested parties.
