Part Two: Is Manchester United Better Than Arsenal?

Well hello hello hello,

Today is a good day. I woke up.

 Now the construction workers had turned off the water in my area from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. These, of course, being the hours when NOBODY is trying to wake up and get to work.

I repeat NOBODY!

Apparently in Spain everyone showers BEFORE they go to sleep or wakes up at 3 to have a quick shower to wake themselves up so they can actually go to bed TWICE in one night.

Ummmmmmmm.......

But despite my hair (what´s left of it) looking like a birds nest (we´ll say a little birds nest, like a Sparrow´s nest. That´s it. A poorly built Sparrow´s nest.) it is and WILL BE a fantastic day.

I found a little café outside my work (well didn´t really find it, I pass it every day and say hello to the chirpy waiter) and discovered that they have a bocadillo, bebiba y café por cuatro con cinquenta. In Englishspeak that´s a HUGE sandwich, Valencian Orange Juice and a delicious coffee for four quid.

I was so pleased I left a tip (blasphemy here in Spain).

In other news I love brackets.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE RESPONSE! Fucking fantastic.

Yesterday´s blog was the ideal manifestation of how I´d like all my Arsenal blogs (or any other blogs I write) to go. I want readers to comment, and tell me I´m an idiot/ gay/ incompetent/ a paedophile/ bald/ fat/ stupid/ dumb/ retarded or even tell me they hope I die.

Ok that´s a bit harsh.

But seriously I love the feedback, I think you guys have some EXCELLENT points, and in heinsight I found it extremely difficult to justify awarding a tie between Arsenal and Manchester United for the quality of their fullbacks. I must admit I didn´t agree with EVERYTHING Omar said.

For example. I believe Gary Neville is the best RB in Premiership history due to the amount of titles he´s won, times he´s played for United, and fantastic consistency over a decade.

Omar disagreed.

His 1st point, the point in which you lead with to refute a claim, generally your strongest point, was that Gary Neville could not be the best RB in PL history because "he is an ugly mofo".

As hilarious as that is. I think it´s of little importance how pretty a footballer to determine his playing quality. I mean I´ll take Frankenstein Ribery and Shrek on my 5-aside team and you can have the CK and Abercrombie and Bitch models. Coolio?

BUT SERIOUSLY. What I did agree with was this.

"Clichy vs Evra. Agree Evra wins but marginally
Sagna vs O'shea : Sagna all the way."

I have always thought Clichy had more in his back than Evra, but Clichy has struggled for form this season A LOT in my opinion. Whereas Evra has been his typical annoyingly brilliant self. Little toad that he is.

My allegiance

One thing I did find amusing what that there were CLEARLY some first time readers posting on UptheArse (TM) because they were questioning which team in Red I support.

Now lads - Seriously. I put a LOT of effort into Supporting Arsenal.

I write the blog almost everyday
I do my best to watch every match from fucking Valencia
I try to make my little financial contributions to the team by trying to get to see some games and buying their sweet ass annually average kits.
And I rubbish all my friends teams at every given opportunity (if everyone else is worse you are better right? Cynicism?)

But this blog isn´t about putting my head up my own Arse. It´s about promoting the Gunners. The history, the integrity, and the footballing genius that exists within our club. So please do not question my loyality or my values. My ability to take an objective view of the talents of other footballers does not equate with a hate from my club, for which I have an indescribable passion, I just makes for (what I think is) good fair professional-ISH writing.

Now they moment all 10 of you are waiting for. The second part of this extravanganza!

Yesterday when we left off Man United were winning 2.5 - 0.5 in "Official Squad Value Points" (TM) having been adjudged to have better Goalkeepers (+1) and Centrebacks (+1) and Fullbacks of comparable quality (+0.5 for each team)

Some commended my objectivity but most of you thought I was a cock gobbling penis face who didn't know his Arse (get it) from his elbow. BEST JOKE EVER ON THIS BLOG!
