NBA Finals: Lakers Make It a Series

matt carpenterCorrespondent IJune 11, 2008

A lot of people thought that the NBA Finals were already over based on what we saw in Boston for the first two games.

The offense for both teams was a little weak, only four players scored in double figures (Ray Allen, Kevin Garnet, Sasha Vujacic, and Kobe Bryant).

The Lakers held Pierce and Garnet to a combined 8-35 shooting last night. Kobe tied his own record in the NBA Finals with 36 points and Sasha came off the bench and scored 20 or their 29 points.

Kobe didn't try to take over the game at all, he trusted his teammates like he did all season long and it payed off with a win. They are also the only team that made these playoffs that hasn't lost a home game.

The game kept going back and forth until the last few seconds of regulation.

Lakers won 87-81 last night, look for them to destroy the Celtics in Games Four and Five.
