Chris Wallace, I know you are busy these days dealing with the Allen Iverson debacle. You have a tough job and looking at another horrendous season but I have an idea for you that can make your team better immediately.

Pick up the phone, call Chris Mullin, and offer Rudy Gay and Steven Hunter for Stephen Jackson.

Golden State is desperate to get rid of Jackson. The Memphis Grizzlies need to bring in a guy who is not only talented but can help lead a young team. Have you heard of the phrase "win win?"

Jackson would bring so many attributes to the team and feel in gaps that Gay cannot do. Here is a list of what you would gain by making this trade:

  • championship experience from his days with the San Antonio Spurs
  • a guy who can play three positions
  • a strong defender
  • a player who has shown the ability to be a big time scorer
  • a player with attitude. Jackson does not back down and is a true competitor

The deal would provide the Warriors a scorer (Gay) and an athletic big man who can handle their style of play (Hunter). I think they would seriously consider the offer.  The contract numbers work so that would not be an issue.

Wallace, make this happen sooner rather than later.
