Last year wasn't just a great season with a sad ending for the Mad Scientist and his Gunslingers. It was a season that could revolutionize Texas Tech football; a season that marked a change - a change that could make the Red Raiders a football dynasty. This article is an example of how the '08 season has slung the Raiders into a grand football future.

North Dakota Fighting Sioux

The red raiders may not have as good a team they did last year but they still are chock full of raw talent. North Dakota on the other hand is a very weak team still searching for purpose.

So I predict that the Red Raiders win this one 27-7.

Rice Owls

AUSTIN, TX - SEPTEMBER 20: Patrick Randolph #6 of the Rice Owls runs downfield during the game against the Texas Longhorns on September 20, 2008 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. Texas won 52-10. (Photo by Brian Bahr/Getty Image

The Owls return this season after losing star QB Chase Clement, Wide out Jarett Dillard and Tight end James Casey to the NFL draft. Still searching for a QB to replace clement the owls have a lot of ground to gain in this upcoming season. The owls have a dynamic offense that commonly puts up numbers like 77 against North Texas and 56 against Houston and SMU. While their Defense on the other hand lets up numbers like 63 against Tulsa and 52 against Texas.

I predict that the Red Raiders win this one 21-14

Texas Longhorns

LUBBOCK,TEXAS - NOVEMBER 1: Quarterback Colt McCoy #12 of the Texas Longhorns passes the ball during the game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders on November 1, 2008 at Jones Stadium in Lubbock, Texas. (Photo by: Jamie Squire/Getty Images)

the longhorns come back this year after losing star wide out Quan Cosby but expect Jordan Shipley to step up numbers like 1300 yards. After coming of a great heisman campaign Colt McCoy will Once again be the centerpiece Of a dynamic Texas Offense.

This year is different from last and I predict that the longhorns win 24-17

Houston Cougars

HOUSTON - NOVEMBER 17: Quarterback Case Keenum #7 of the Houston Cougars throws a pass against the Marshall Thundering Herd at Robertson Stadium November 17, 2007 in Houston, Texas. Houston won 35-28. (Photo by Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

the Houston cougars led by Case Keenum will return in 2009 with a dangerous roster led by heismen candidate Casa Keenum.

I predict that the red raiders pull this one of 31-24

New Mexico Lobos

after a disapointing 2008 season the lobos are looking for a bounce back in 2009.

My prediction is the Red Raiders glide through this game 35-14.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

JACKSONVILLE, FL - JANUARY 1: Jacoby Ford #6 of the Clemson Tigers runs for yardage after a reception during the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium January 1, 2009 in Jacksonville, Florida. (Phot

after a fruitful year in 2008 the upcoming season looks dreary for the Cornhuskers.

Once again a predict the Red Raiders win 24-7

Texas A&M Aggies

COLLEGE STATION, TX - NOVEMBER 23: Running back Mike Goodson #3 of the Texas A&M Aggies runs for a touchdown against the Texas Longhorns in the first quarter at Kyle Field on November 23, 2007 in College Station, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty I

after a terrible 2008 season the Aggies look to recover their prestige relying on a young team.

I think I'm gonna give this one to the Red Raiders, 21-18

Kansas Jayhawks

KANSAS CITY, MO - NOVEMBER 29: Quarterback Todd Reesing #5 of the Kansas Jayhawks looks to pass the ball downfield during the game against the Missouri Tigers on November 29, 2008 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Gett

the Jay hawks finished third in the big twelve south and look forward to a bright future but that bright future could be far away.

I'll give this one to the red raiders again, 14-3

Oklahoma state Cowboys

STILLWATER, OK - NOVEMBER 29: Quarterback Zac Robinson #11 of the Oklahoma State Cowboys drops back to pass against the Oklahoma Sooners at Boone Pickens Stadium on November 29, 2008 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

with Zach Robinson and Dez Bryant returning to OSU their season looks very bright.

I'm gonna give this one to the Cowboys 35-28

Oklahoma sooners

MIAMI - JANUARY 08: Jermaine Gresham #18 of the Oklahoma Sooners carries the ball against Major Wright #21 of the Florida Gators during the FedEx BCS National Championship Game at Dolphin Stadium on January 8, 2009 in Miami, Florida. (Photo by Donald Mi

after a incredible season in 2008 the sooners are looking for a BCS title, going on their last year with Bradford.

The sooners win it 24-17

Baylor Bears

WACO, TX - NOVEMBER 5: Quarterback Shawn Bell #11 of the Baylor Bears throws a pass on the run against the Texas Longhorns on November 5, 2005 at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. Texas defeated Baylor 62-0. (Photo by Stephen Dunn /Getty Images)

the Baylor bears a team that has only gained succes in womans basketball are coming on a season in which they might end up winning 5 games instead if 4.

The last game of the season and I give it to the Red Raiders Blow out style 42-7

Bowl Game

My prediction is that the Red Raiders return to the Cotton Bowl in 2010 but this time they will emerge victorious defeating Mississippi.
