Chiefs Lose Starting Right Guard For Season
Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have placed guard Mike Goff on injured reserve. Goff was suffering from a shoulder injury. Andy Alleman will likely start at right guard.
Goff broke his streak of 113 consecutive starts last week, which stretched from his days in San Diego. The Chiefs signed linebacker Justin Rodgers to replace Goff on the 53-man roster. Rodgers has spent time with the Patriots and the Cowboys.
Rodgers recorded 16 tackles in 2008, and 18 tackles in 2007, both times with the Dallas Cowboys on special teams. Rodgers was signed six days ago, then waived, and now signed again.
