This is going to be who I think is the current top 10 fighters in the Heavyweight division after Saturday's. You may not agree with me, so leave comments afterwards. So whithout further ado here is my top 10 heavyweights list. I hope you enjoy, and leave comments afterwards if you agreeded or disagreed.

#10 Ben Rothwell

The IFL's former number 1 heavyweight is now in the ufc and has compiled an record of 30-7. He lost his last bout against Cain Velasquez but is still a decent heavyweight. He is a seasoned veteran that if he can string together a few good wins could find himself in the ufc heavyweight championship picture.

#9 Andrei "Pitbull" Arlovski

Rackmultipart

Arlovski has declined a bit lately but he is still an force to be reckoned with. He has lost his to fights against Brett Rogers and Fedro Emelianenko but has compiled a decent 15-7 record. He is also a former ufc heavyweight champion and has notable wins over Ben Rothwell, Roy Nelson, and Fabricio Werdum.

#8 Shane "Darwin" Carwin

Rackmultipart

His next fight is a title fight against Brock Lesnar for the ufc heavyweight champinoship. The fight has been postponed becuase of Lesnar having an illness but this an big fight in his short career. He has compiled an record of 11-0 with a notable win over Gabriel Gonzaga.

#7 Josh "The Baby faced Assassin" Barnett

Rackmultipart

He was slated to fight Fedor back in August but that fight was cancelled because of an failed drug test. Since, he has not been able to obtain a fighting license and he is the man people blame for the demise of Affliction. But he has compiled an impressive record of 24-5. With notable wins over Pedro Rizzo, Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, Aleksander Emelianenko, and Randy Couture.

#6 Cain Velasquez

Rackmultipart

Since his mma debut he has won every fight by knockout but one, unanimous decision, pileing up and 7-0 record. He has notable wins over Cheick Kongo and Ben Rothwell. But, his first true test to stepping into the upper echelon of heavyweights is in Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, happening at UFC 108. The winner of that fight will most likely become the number one contender.

#5 Brett "The Grim" Rogers

Rackmultipart

In his last two fights "The Grim" had an impressive outing against Fedor and an win against Andrei Arlovski. Those two outings alone is what catapupalted him in my top 5. He's young with an 10-1 record and his the future is looking very bright for many years to come.

#4 Frank Mir

Rackmultipart

Losing his last fight, also a title fight, hurt him but with a win against Cheick Kongo at UFC 107 he can bounce right back into the title picture in a somewhat weak heavyweight division. He is a excellent bjj artist with a record of 12 wins and 4 losses. His career looked like it was over after his motorcycle accident but he has looked decent since returning with a 4-3 record with wins over Brock lesnar, Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, Dan Christison, and Antoni Hardonk. But also losses to, Brandon Vera, Mauricio Cruz, and his latest to Brock Lesnar.

#3 Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Noguiera

Rackmultipart

Compiling a record of 32 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw, and 1 no contest, "Monotauro" has fought into the ufc heavyweight title picture. After a disapointing lose to Frank Mir at UFC 92, he bounced back with a good showing and a win against Rany Couture at UFC 102. Is a former PRIDE FC champion, losing that title to Fedor. With a few more wins "Minotauro" can find himself in a ufc heavyweight champinoship fight.

#2 Brock Lesnar

Rackmultipart

Once a former pro wrestler, and a collegiate all-american wrestler he has made the transition to mma quite smoothly. He won his mma debut by tko in under a 1:10. He lost in his ufc debut to Frank Mir, which is a great bjj artist in his own right, by a kneebar but looked dominating in his debut. After that he faced Heath Herring and won an unanimous decision. Randy Couture lost his heavyweight title to Lesnar at UFC 91. Lesnar has made one successful defense so far against Frank Mir. The slated title defense at 106 against Shane Carwin has been postponed until a later event because Lesnar has come down with mononucleosis.

#1 Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianenko

Rackmultipart

Arguably, the number 1 p4p fighter in the world. He is 31-1 with 1 no contest. In the only loss the fight was stopped early because he had a cut above his eye, it was a controversially stoppiage and if it wasn't, the fight could have went the other way. He has notable wins against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria twice with one no contest, 2 against Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman, Heath Herring, Ricardo Arona, and Mirko "Cro Cop". He has been critisized for the level of competition he has faced but if he ever comes to the UFC than he will prove that he is the number 1 fighter in the world

Other notables

Rackmultipart

Alistair overeem, Junior Dos Santos, Randy Couture, Fabricio Werdum, and Antonio Silva
