Spainiard Fernando Verdasco kept alive his hopes of qualifying for the year end Masters Cup in London after he earned a hard fought 3 set victory over Andreas Seppi of Italy.

Seppi dug deep and managed to win the 1st set on a tiebreaker.

Verdasco however fought hard and won the 2nd set 6-4 to force the match into a 3rd and deciding set.

The Spaniard then won the final set 6-4 to seal a 6-7 6-4 6-4 victory and his play in the 3rd round.

Earlier this year Verdasco stunned the tennis world when he reached the Semi Finals of the Australian Open he did lose out to the eventual Champion Rafael Nadal in 5 sets.

On the way to the Semis Verdasco managed to beat Andy Murray in 5 sets and Jo Wilfred Tsonga in 4 sets.

It is hard to see Verdasco upsetting the Odds and winning the title in Paris this week.
