November 10, 1991: Bernie Kosar's “No Interceptions Streak” Ends

JoeSportsFan by Senior Analyst Written on November 10, 2009

November 10, 1991

jeff-george19 years ago today, Bernie Kosar’s NFL record of 308 passes without an interception ended as his Cleveland Browns lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since Kosar set the record, Jeff George has come to the closest to reaching the mark.  Over the course of the 1993 (with Indianapolis) and 1994 (with Atlanta) seasons, George threw 279 straight pass attempts without an interception.

Since there are no defining (read: mockable) characteristics about Bernie Kosar, that is why you’re receiving a picture of Jeff George, sporting a trifecta of JSF-quality attributes; a mustache, a mullet and some quality negburns.

Impress your co-workers: Bernie Kosar was interception by the Eagles’ Ben Smith – who only compiled 6 interceptions across his career.
