Bengals Lose Receiver For Season
The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have placed wide receiver Chris Henry on injured reserve. Henry was serving as the Bengals slot receiver, and he should be replaced by Andre Caldwell.
Henry broke his forearm in Sunday's game, and was taken out of the game and sent to the locker room. Henry will be a free agent at the end of the season, and ProFootballTalk.com suggests that he will be re-signed.
Henry had surgery on his broken arm on Monday. Henry has caught 12 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns this season. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis hinted that the Bengals would promote Maurice Purify from the practice squad.
