Signing a type A free agent will cost the team that signs him its first-round pick which then goes to the player's former team unless it's a top 15 pick. If that's the case the player's former team will receive the other team's second-round pick. The former team will also get an extra pick between the first and second rounds. And for type B free agents the player's former team will get a sandwich pick.
