If he can duplicate that in the U. S. Open then he might win going away. His playing partners, Casey and Poulter, should help his nerves the first two days.

11. Adam Scott: Scott has missed the cut four of the six time he has played the U. S. Open. He is still considered one of the best players that has not won a major and he is going to contend for one on a Sunday eventually.

12. Stewart Cink: Cink has been red hot this season. He's finished T3, T7, T8, T21, T11, and T30 this year. I like his chances on this course and think he has a great shot to win.

13. Henrik Stenson: Seven top tens for Stenson in nine events has him #4 on the European Order of Merit. He's been very good all season and has a great chance to win here.

14. Lee Westwood: Westwood is sixth on the European Tour with an amazing six top tens in seven starts this season. He has been playing great, why wouldn't I think he can win this week?

15. Anthony Kim: A lot of people are referring to him as the new Tiger but I don't believe all the hype yet. I do think he can win this major title though. He's played well this year and is 7th in the FedEx Cup Standings.

16. Justin Leonard: Leonard does not play well in the U. S. Open. He has missed four cuts here and his best finish is merely a 12th way back in 2002. He finished 5th at Torrey Pines during the Buick Invitational though.

17. Steve Stricker: In 2007 he finished 13th and in 2006 he finished 6th, meaning he has played well recently. I expect him to contend, mainly due to his excellent putting. This year he is struggling though, missing the cut in his last four events.

18. Padraig Harrington: Harrington has finished in the top five twice at the U. S. Open. The reigning British Open Champion wants to move into a small group of golfers that have won two majors and prove his major title was no fluke.

19. Angel Cabrera: Last year's winner will have to duplicate his performance down the stretch to have any chance to win this year.
