The Eagles were highly successful in many areas in their exhibition match-up on Sunday afternoon.
The offense was aided by many of the Eagles’ key players as they enter the season with questions on how to replace Tyrese Rice . Finishing up with a total of 99 points, the Eagles got their scoring from a variety of different players.
In their lone exhibition match-up before the regular season begins, the Eagles concluded the game with a 99-58 win over Division II St. Michael’s.
Sophomore Reggie Jackson led the way with 23 points, one of six Eagles in double figures.
Junior Corey Raji wrapped up his afternoon with a double-double including 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Rakim Sanders (13 points), Tyler Roche (12 points), Joe Trapani (11 points), and Dallas Elmore (10 points) rounded out the others who finished in double digits offensively.
The Eagles used a 22-2 run about halfway through the first half to build their lead to 27 points at the halftime before eventually extending the difference between the two teams to 41 points before the final buzzer.
The question in replacing Tyrese Rice may rely heavily on Biko Paris who is expected to get the first shot at running the show. In 22 minutes, Paris took only two shots and did not finish in the scoring column, however he did dish out a team-high nine assists.
It will be interesting to see if Paris can improve his numbers come regular season action. The Eagles will open their season on Friday night (November 13th), at 7:00PM with a home match-up against Dartmouth.
