Favre Tied For Top QB Rating at Mid Season

I don't think the most optomistic of Favre fans (and I count myself among that group) would have predicted this. Not to mention a 7-1 start to the season.

This from an old guy who was brought in to "manage" games for the Vikings. Hobble out into the huddle, hand off to Adrian Peterson or flip the ball sideways to Percy Harvin, and get out of the way. Try not to clog up the play for the "franchise" players.

Right.

Lots of football still to be played, but Brett is right there with Peyton Manning and Drew Brees in the running for league MVP. With the heavy pressure part of his first season in Minnesota behind him and many questions laid to rest, there is no reason to think that he cannot maintain this pace for the rest of the year barring serious injury.

One of the biggest, and certainly most pleasant sports stories of the past decade.
