Portugal have every right in my opinion to call up Cristiano Ronaldo for the upcoming match against Bosnia, on the 14th of this month.

The Club vs Country controversy rears its ugly head once again, but this time with the world's most expensive player stuck in the middle of a moral war.

Big clubs don't like to release their best players for international duty, even when they know that they are fully fit. They believe that it reduces the players optimum performance levels, for the crucial league and European matches.

I am not in favour of putting a player in harms way if he is injured already, and if that is the case with CR9, then let him be there for moral support if needs be.

What I do think though, is that Real Madrid have other interests of their own here. They should let the the Portuguese medical staff make their own conclusions as far as the player is concerned.

Other players have gone on to win world cups, being 80% fit, and carrying all sorts of injuries. The question is heart and devotion, and where do these lie?

Believe, that as much as Cristiano Ronaldo loves Real Madrid, he loves he's country more!
