At a point in time in which a team needs to seek out that inner core, the Bucs are still searching for a stand-out francise quarterback. Since 1979 have the buccaneers been in a position to impact the NFL with the raw talent of a fresh young primed quarterback. As the 2009 season continues, and the buccaneers are 0-7 on the season, once again do the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a chance to display a signifigant talent in that of a number draft pick quarterback.

Having said that, I'd like to take you back ten years into quarterbacking as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

Shaun King

1750474

1999-2003
5 Seasons, 31 games, 22 starts
654 attempts, 368 completions, 4064 yards, 26 TDs, 20 INTs

Played during the Bucs Team that ran for the superbowl as a strong defensive unit. Although a back-up QB, King helped a struggling Buccaneer team that was in much need of a trun around. A turn around that King would play a major role in and bring a sense of unity to a an appointed offensive leader.

Eric Zeier

493975

1999-2000
Georiga
2 seasons, 5 games, 1 start
58 attempts, 35completions, 289yards, 0TDs, 1INTs

Florida State
4 seasons, 49 games, 49 starts
1683 attempts, 1040 completions, 10940 yards, 64 TDs, 41 INTs

Brad Johnson maybe one of the Buccaneers most productive quarterbacks thus far even coming in from a trade with Vikings, Johnson help the Buccaneers offense become a compelling entity. His precession passing and ability to call the right audibles gave the Bucs enough offense to contend for playoff berths almost every season while lead by veteran QB Brad Johnson.

Is it Bradkowski or Gradkowski?
How ever you spell it he was lead to beleive to be the final component to the Bucs offense that had been missing, a leader. In the 2 season the he played with the Bucs what was determined was that he was not the missing link that was needed to be plugged into a struggling offense and was allowed to have the actual spelling of his name to be placed into a record book as one of the biggest mistakes the Tampa franchise could have ever made.

Josh johnson

83678109
