VALENCIA, Spain(AP) — Dani Pedrosa of Spain has won the
season-ending Valencia Grand Prix ahead of newly crowned world
champion Valentino Rossi.

Jorge Lorenzo finished third on Sunday to clinch the runner-up
spot in the overall standings.

Casey Stoner won here last year and had been due to start from
pole, but was forced to retire after falling on the warm-up lap
and wrecking his bike.

Hector Barbera won the 250cc category and Julian Simon won the
125cc race.
