Allen Iverson Leaves the Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis Commercial Appeal just reported that guard Allen Iverson has left the Memphis Grizzlies for personal reasons. Iverson went to Atlanta, where he lives in the offseason.

Why is he leaving? Does this have something to do with Iverson not playing enough minutes or not starting? He was supposed to start tonight against the Clippers and he was also supposed to meet Grizzlies Owner Michael Heisley today.

I think something is going on behind closed doors and both sides have agreed not to talk about it in public. Nobody knows when Iverson will return. This season, which was supposed to be a revenge season, is not off to a good start.

Lionel Hollins should have started Iverson. He didn't, and now Iverson just learned this team is rebuilding. Maybe Iverson said he does not want to play for the Grizzlies and asked for a trade to a contender. Many questions will be asked about this untill Iverson returns or a reason is given as to why he left.
