Recently, the wrestling world has had many different power shifts among its ranks. Jeff Jarrett seems to have been cut out of the loop with TNA, both Linda and Shane McMahon left the WWE, and Hogan and Bischoff signed with TNA. What seems most interesting to me is that somewhere down the line we could see two female promoters face off in wrestling for the first time ever.
Since Shane announced his future plans to leave the WWE, everyone has been asking what Stephanie's role will be with the company when Vince retires. It has been said her future position may be in jeopardy after some comments made by Vince in a conference call with investors where he said that a last name is not a guaranteed position in the WWE.
For the last few years, Dixie Carter has been running the business end of TNA in the background. Now she is beginning to cultivate a public image for herself as the figurehead of TNA. While she has expressed no interest in being an on-air talent, she is certainly more known now than six months ago.
Her first major appearance came at the signing of Bobby Lashley to the company a few months back. Since then she has been in front of the camera whenever a major change has occurred in TNA.
If Dixie stays in charge and Stephanie takes the reigns of the WWE we will see the industry, for the first time ever, be run by two female promoters. This could actually shake things up quite a bit, or it might not change anything.
Dixie having been in charge for awhile now would most likely not do anything different, but Princess Stephanie may change the landscape of WWE completely if she gets the chance to take over.
One thing is for sure, in the next 10 years, wrestling as we know it will be changed forever
