Following his sensational victory over Richard Gasquet in the 4th round of Wimbledon many had high hopes for British Number 1 Andy Murray.

Murray came from 2 sets to love to defeat the Frenchman and seal his pace in the Quarter Finals of a Grand Slam Quarter Final for the 1st time in his career.

Murray's reward for beating Gasquet was a Quarter Final clash with the world number 2 tennis player player Rafael Nadal, Nadal had reached the finals the previous two years and was many peoples tip to go all the way and win the title, yet there was somehow a feeling that Murray could spring a surprise on the Spaniard.

Nadal however appeared to be at his best in the 1st set as he raced through it 6-3, to take a 1 set to love lead.

The 2nd set was even more one sided Nadal took it 6-2 and he won the 3rd 6-4 to claim a 6-3 6-2 6-4 victory, Nadal went on to win the title for this 1st time in his career.

It is hard to see Murray defying the Odds and winning Wimbledon one day.
