The Pacers got away with another win, this time, at home. The Pacers improve their record, as they go 2-3 after beating Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards by a score of 102-86.
Indiana literally just steamrolled them. I think people need to change their mind about the Blue and Gold.
Hansbrough debuted with 13 points. After he committed his first foul, he received a few words from Antawn Jamison: “This ain’t Carolina, T!” But Hansbrough did well and played great like he did in college and he made the most of it.
Thirteen points in 14 minutes, that’s great. Not bad for the first start.
“It was a lot of hard work and things to get to this stage, but I put that all behind me when I got out there,” he said. “It felt great. Just a relief to get out there and kind of move forward from this injury thing.”
T.J. Ford had another great game, putting up 18 points, ten rebounds, four assists and two steals. Danny Granger led the team in points, as usual, with 22 points while Roy Hibbert put up the rebound with eleven.
With Troy Murphy injured, Jim O’Brien was counting on Hansbrough to make something great happen.
He did.
“It was a lot of hard work and things to get to this stage, but I put that all behind me when I got out there,” he said. “It felt great. Just a relief to get out there and kind of move forward from this injury thing.”
