Welcome To Canton: Which Patriots will become immortals?
With Patriot-great Andre Tippett finally headed to the hall of fame, he will be joining the only other three Patriots in the hall. Nick Buoniconti, John Hannah, and Mike Haynes are all waiting for their fellow Patriot to join them in the hall. With this day in Patriots history coming closer, I'm taking a look at which players on the current roster should make it into the Hall of Fame. This is what I think will happen:
TOM BRADY- of course this is the easiest decision on the entire team, Tom Brady should be a first ballot Hall of Famer. With three superbowl rings, 2 superbowl MVP's, and a league MVP, he should be in no question.
RANDY MOSS- you would have to look past the off-field issues of his time in MN, but one of the most productive recievers in recent memory, he should make it. Getting a ring this year would have been better for him, but his numbers should get him in.
RICHARD SEYMOUR- One of the most underrated nightmares of quarterbacks, Seymour should make it on success (3 superbowls) and his numbers. Ask AFC quarterbacks if he should make it, they spent the most time with him.
RODNEY HARRISON- Yes, I think the most fined player in NFL history is gonna make it. Rodney plays with his heart and hits harder than anyone else. Some call him dirty but the reality is that Rodney does his job and does it well.
Missing from this list is fan favorite Tedy Bruschi. As much as I'd love to see Bruuuuuuuuuuschi! go "full tilt full time" into the hall of fame, I don't think he will make it. He has won three super bowls but the numbers aren't among the best of his position. I would be happy to see him make it.
Who knows who is gonna make it? No one can tell how the voting will go from this far out. It took Andre Tipett this long to make it. Who knows, Laurence Maroney and Chad Jackson could make it too. Though as unlikely as that is, it's possible.
