Andy Roddick went into his 2nd round match at Wimbledon 2003 against the British Number 2 Greg Rusedski knowing that he had lost to the Canadian born player in straight sets at SW19 the year before.

Rusedski and Roddick were the 2 biggest servers in men's tennis and many expected an explosive encounter.

The duo had met just 2 weeks before in the ATP Event at Queen's Club and Roddick had managed to edge out a tight 3 set match.

Roddick managed to win the 1st set on a tiebreaker, to take a 1 set to love lead, the American then took total command of the match when he won the 2nd set also on a tiebreaker. Roddick then recovered from 5-2 down in the 2nd set to win it 7-5 and seal a superb 7-6 7-6 7-5 victory.

The American went on to reach the Semi Finals but he fell short against the eventual Champion Roger Federer in straight sets. It is hard to see Roddick upsetting the Betting Odds and winning Wimbledon.
