World Number 2 Rafael Nadal will go into next week's Masters 1000 event in Paris desperate to have more success in the French capital.

The Spaniard had won the French Open 4 years in a row and was biddign to make it 5 this year, but the Swede Robin Soderling stunned the tennis world and beat Nadal in 4 sets in the 4th round.

Nadal has never won the Masters event in Paris but he did reach the final back in 2007 only to lose to an inspired David Nalbandian 6-4 6-0. Following the Masters 100 event in Paris, Nadal will travel to London to compete in the Masters Cup which will be staged at the 02 Arena this year.

The Spaniard will then return home to represent Spain in the Davis Cup Final. Last year injury, forced Nadal to withdraw from both the Masters Cup and Davis Cup Final.

If you are a Betting person then you would do well to back Nadal to win the Paris Masters 1000 event.
