Cards Won't Take Flight This Week..Their Wings Are Too Damaged.

If you read my last article you know I do no think the Cardinals are going to beat the Bears this weekend. Injuries are going to be a factor in this weeks game. All thought I do think the Cardinal need to be productive, and show up. I just think they fall short of taking off against the Bears.

The offence need to do one thing first. Forget the 34-21 loss to the Panthers last week, in which quarterback Kurt Warner committed six turnovers (five INT, one fumble). If Warner takes that hang over into Chicago, it will be a long day for him.

2nd The Bears are 3-0 at home with Jay Cutler at the helm. The Cardinals (a broken record coming here) are last AGAIN in the league in rushing offense, and to add insult to injury their running game (as bad as it is) does not have even one rusher with a 20 yards gain or longer. And why is that? The offisive line is not holding the blocks long enough for production to come from the RB position, and they are getting beat up front week in, and week out.

3rd There will be no “The Bears are who they thought they were" this  weekend. The Bears are beatable. The line shows that. But with 2  injuries in the Wide Receiving core this week; Breaston, and Boldin, That means Fitzi is going to have to be even a bigger game then he would need if they were all healthy. The Bears will take their chances, and double up Fitz, and let the injured Boldin and Breaston try and beat them. Now Fitz can and will break the double but it will not be enough. These injuries are going to be major, and with the good play from the Bears secondary, they are primed to keep Fitzi at bay.

4th The Bears Defense is the pride of the team right now, even with the loss of Urlacher they fast, and physical team on defense.  But Jay Cutler with his forcing the ball to his TE Olsen may see turnovers. Jay has been known to try too hard. But Darnell Dockett (ankle) is expected to play despite injury, he will have a hard time getting to the Cutler.

I still want to see the Cardinals win (I just don’t see it), or only lose by 7 or less. Whizzy will have them ready, but this week the injury to the Cardinals wings will not allow them to get away from the Bears.

This will be a good test going into the Seattle game though. That is a divisional game they MUST WIN! They did in Seattle, now they need to do it at home. There will be no Wildcard coming for the NFC West, so the Cardinals better get it in gear!
